14 , 2002 Dr. Newton's presentation covered major orchid pests relevent to growers in the Southeast - how to recognize them and various ways to control them. Dr. Newton is a professional entomologist who currently heads the Control Program for Mosquito and Insect Transmitted Diseases for the state of North Carolina. He has been growing orchids for 40 years.
